Centre for Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (C-WASH) is a registered non-governmental organisation committed to the delivery of safe, adequate, reliable, and sustainable water supply services, along with related sanitation and hygiene interventions to unserved and under-served populations of rural and deprived urban settlements, including Schools and Health Care Facilities through innovative financing and strategic partnerships.
C-WASH has its Head Office in Accra-Ghana but runs Field Offices for projects in the regions outside Accra.
The organisation was incorporated by the Registrar General of Ghana on 8th July, 2020 and given a Certificate to Commence Business on the same date.
Having fully incorporated C-WASH, the WASH programmes of its mother organisation, Centre for Development Partnerships and Innovations (CDPI) had been hived off to C-WASH which in effect has become the entity specialised in water supply, sanitation and hygiene services delivery.
The organisation is headed by an Executive Director who works with the Director of Technical Services, and Director of Gender and Community Engagement to execute its mandate and mission.
Vision:
C-WASH has a vision to become a highly influential professional organisation specialised in decentralised WASH services delivery, in addition to being a credible convener of a vibrant national network of community piped water services (NETCOWAS) capable of contributing to accelerated WASH development through advocacy, policy influencing and investments.
Mission:
Working with traditional rulers, Government and Local Government Authorities, Financial Institutions, Foundations, and other Development Partners to improve access to decentralised and community based water supply, sanitation and hygiene for populations in rural communities and deprived urban settlements.
